Divisional Secretariat - Mawathagama

On the advice and guidance of the Divisional Secretary of the Mawathagama Divisional Secretariat, who launch various programs throughout the year to build coexistence, harmony and unity among all races and religions, the Iftar celebration was organized for the second time to mark the Ramadan fasting period of the Muslims with the support of the Mandalika officers and all the officers of the office. It was successfully held in the auditorium of the Divisional Secretariat with the participation of slam devotees. This was held on 2024.04.01

The officers of the Mawathagama Divisional Secretariat will offer the Duruthu Poya afternoon donation to the worshipers who perform their rituals at the Mawathagama Samabodhi Temple every year. With the advice of the divisional secretary and the contribution of all the officers, the Buddhist Affairs Division has organized this donation on Duruthu Poya Day in 2024. The distribution of charity was successfully done with the participation of the excutive officers and other officials

In conjunction with the 76th Independence Commemoration National Program, as the first program carried out in the Mawathagama Divisional Secretariat, a program of planting Katu Anoda plants was carried out at the Mawathagama Cultural Center grounds with the participation of children, parents and divisional Secretary. On the instructions and guidance of the Divisional Secretary, MAS Garment Institute located in the Mawathagama Investment Zone, provided Katu Anoda plants free of charge for this program organized by the Environmental Development Officer with the support of Mrs. officer in charge of the Cultural Center.

Thai Pongal celebrations organized with the support of the executive officers and all officers of the office on the advice and guidance of the Divisional Secretary of the Mawathagama Divisional Secretariat, who launch various programs throughout the year to build harmony between all races and religions, were successfully held.
